February 8, 1956 - Our Church's Second Parishioner's Meeting

 Our church’s second parishioner’s meeting

Today was our second parishioner’s meeting.  Some people attend the meeting only for fellowship.  Some, not many, are the faithful friends.  So the problem is finding faithful Hong Kong Lutherans who really want to participate.  That said, two representatives have emerged; Mr. Qiu Zhiming and Li Hong Chuang, a housewife.  They are both among the faithful and it’s their first time working as representatives of this church assembly.  I hope God shines his glory and light upon them.

I’m not happy in my heart today.  This afternoon, Kang Rong and I had to deliver mail to the women’s club so I accompanied him when returning from a trip.  We received mail from Mrs. Zhang and Li Yumei and needed to deliver to Zhang Jing Hang, Jing Zhi and Le Ji.  Sai Fulin started talking to the kids.  During the conversation, no one spoke like a child.  This made me feel very sad at the time.  Today’s homework lesson;  another experience in being a person.

Yes, again I see that you can’t always just say what you think.  Be honest with people but the idea that you should treat everyone like a family member is wrong.  Except for my own home, there is no other home for me in the world.  Except for the parents who gave birth to me, no one is like my biological parents.    UGH!  I will be more sensible from now on!
