Jan. 17, 1956 - The Choir at He Zhi Zhong Church

In a downcast day, I went to Mr. He's house in the morning. When I got there , it was 5:05 and the retreat gathering just started. When I opened my mouth to sing, it sounded better than last time and Mr. He also said the same thing. We sang for about half an hour. In order to join the choir at 7:45, I hurried back to eat dinner. The misses Zhang Zhing Zhi, Zhing Xing, and Nai Sai all wanted to go with me to the choir meeting at 7:30. So we went together and we saw Mr. He and his wife and [somebody else]. Gradually people came one by one, and at the end it totaled 27 people. We practiced for a whole hour. We had a little snack and then Mr. He introduced eight new members of the choir. And among them 4 came with us. At the end, there was an announcement that they wanted to continue to invite new friends because they want to hold a concert soon. The meeting was adjourned at 9:30. It was drizzling outside. Based on the pools of water on the ground, I guessed that it was raining hard. We started running in the rain and chatting at the same time, and it was very interesting. One of the ladies brought her singing book with her. We finally arrived at home and everyone said, "goodbye". Now that I think of the choir, the future looks very bright because professor He was very enthusiastic and most of those who participate are his students so I think the choir will have some good accomplishments.
