Jan. 20, 1956 - The First English Class and Bible Class
Today is the first day of my English lesson for which I even gave up an afternoon nap. I arrived just in time and had two textbooks to show my teacher to see which one is more suitable. We both decided on the "Oxford English Course for Malaya" In order to correct my pronunciation, we started from the 1st year, part 2 reading. During the first class, I read 9 lessons for the teacher. The feedback was okay, saying that there were only a few places that I mispronounced, and hoping that could be corrected sooner or later. Mandarin Bible class also started for the first time today. Originally, the class was taught by Mr. He, but because of workload distribution, they assigned me to it. And starting from today, this is my only job. May God himself be at work, Amen.
