Return to my Alma Mater
This morning I almost forgot to go to Da Bu to participate in the spring term opening ceremony. Not bad, I remembered before 8:00am. So I went and arrived at Gu Dun wharf to meet Chen Hui Ling, Ma Bi Ron and Huang Fu Si. The three of them, me and Haong Kang Rong made a delegation of five people. A bus took us from that old road to our destination; It was already after 10:00am. The big meeting had already started. When we got to the school, everything felt like when I was in high school. warm, kind and amiable. As we got closer, we heard singing. It brought back sweet memories of the past. It was a peaceful meeting place. Everyone sat and sang, recited poetry, read the Bible, prayed and listened to the preaching. Today, Pastor Xu was invited to preach. There were some Ge Rou school announcements. After that, the pastor gave a report saying there were 20 new students; 9 men and 11 women. Two of them had not come yet. They seem to all be around 30-40 years old; healthy, young and vivacious. At noon time, we had lunch. I hadn’t been feeling very well but am now feeling better. I ate three bowls of rice and, after that, a steamed bun. Notre Dame seems like it’s waiting for me; classmates and friends all so cordial. Honestly, I didn’t want to leave but I had a vocal music course that night. Sometimes you have to give up one thing for another. Back to my alma mater, even though as a guest, it feels like everything is prepared for me. The spring wind makes all the flowers start to bloom. When can I return to my hometown? I pray that God leads me somewhere I want to go.
