February 17, 1956 - A Sermon in the Cold Wind and Rain

A sermon in the cold wind and rain

This week I travelled in order to participate in Dr. Wan Pinyin’s teaching conference in Hong Kong and Kowloon but the Church’s work was temporarily suspended.  Few brothers came to attend and learn in the evening.  They were together to attend.  It takes a half hour to get from the Church to the train.  We were sweaty from running even though it’s cold tonight.

The people who came to listen to the sermon were in full passion.  It’s like a gust of wind followed by drizzle but the people who listen to the sermon double your efforts.  No one is quiet or leaves early.  Dr. David Morken says that this is not the power of man but the power of God.

This month’s money is gone again.  Today Mr. Lee lent me thirty dollars as an advance on my next three months of pay but tonight, because of seeing Dr. Billy Graham’s program “Good with God and  buying “Dr. Billy Graham’s Story”, half the money is already gone.

The cold wind gusts.  It’s raining.  It’s floating.  The climate is cold but it’s hot inside.

God works.  People work.  God works with Man.  Darkness comes.  Light comes on.  Choose in yourself.  1+1=2.  Unchanged truth.
