The Guild meets in Kowloon Tong
Our guild has a soiree once a month. The location is not fixed. It is held according to the place where our social workers live; sometimes in North Point Pond, Hongkang Tong, the Seminary or at the Bible College. Today was the first time it was held in Kowloon Tong. Pastor Si held a party at his home. It’s not really that kind of a place but, not only did it change into a friendly place, but several new members joined in. That’s when the new guy, Pastor Si with his wife and a number of others came to the fore.
Today, we invited the Western unions to lunch. It was paid for with our Chinese teacher’s money. In the past, it was the Church that paid but today we each paid five yuan to host them. The party started at 10:00 am and ran until 12:30. Because Pastor Si, Pastor Xing and Pastor Lao were all there, the former pastor had nothing to do.
In a normal party, there are a lot of things going on. It’s funny that I made a wish in English today during our conversation. I didn’t really want to speak but Simus encouraged me so I was able to say a few words
