Jan. 6, 1956 - Dr. Pong Fu's Preaching

Today is the 5th day of our evangelical meeting. According to plan, we invited Dr. Pong to come and speak. Ever since the morning prayer, we've been praying for this gathering. In the afternoon, we specifically went out for visitation and to distribute tracks, and to tell everyone to come and listen. Praise the Lord, even though it was drizzling this evening, we had the most attendance today. Dr. Pong certainly is a seasoned preacher. Today's preaching topic was "Bearing Fruit" which was a beautiful peace of preaching. The scripture is from the book of Matthew 21:18 and Mark 11:12 -14. He had four points. 1) The plant is growing in a suitable place (Matthew 28:19). 2) The tree is sizable so that others can see it from a distance (Mark 11:13) 3) The tree is alive (Mark 13). 4) It bears fruit (Mark 13 to end). His preaching was very interesting. At the end, he concluded with a quotation, the story of not having to pay for tomorrow's dinner, so he said our repentance and belief in Jesus cannot wait till tomorrow. Tomorrow can kill you. To those who believe, they need to bear the fruit of repentance.
