Jan. 7, 1956 - Snowfall
In the morning, it was overcast. And the winter wind was indeed close to the point of being frightening. At 9:30, we started the first co-workers meeting to discuss our work for the whole year. At 11:00, it got even colder. The wind and rain outside got worse. I couldn't bear the cold and had to go back to get my thick jacket from my dorm. And this jacket is a spare jacket. It looks ugly but because of the cold, I had to put it on. When I returned back at the meeting, everyone laughed. The meeting around 12:30 and before the meal, brother Wang Jin Tao came and invited me to join a joint prayer meeting at 1:30 at the school. Because we are meeting at the nearby Bible school, I decided to join them. When I arrived the usher asked me what school I was from, and I didn't know what to say. The brother who invited me gave me a name tag that said I was from Xin Yi (Faith and Righteousness) Bible College. If it weren't that, I would not have been qualified to join. The joint prayer ended at 3:00 and it was freezing cold. I had to leave hastily because I had to join another prayer meeting at Shan Ling Dao. By the time I left that gathering, it was already 5:30, and believe it or not, it got even colder. By then, Mr. Jung whom I was walking home with just informed me that around 10:00 this morning it actually snowed. Now thinking back, indeed that time was so cold. At night, we had a young adult fellowship meeting. A bunch of 11th-12th graders from Dao Chun High School came. We specifically prepared some snacks and tea for them. It was good that they weren't affected by the cold weather.
